Blogger Love Week Day 5

Welcome to Blogger Love Week 2!!

This round we have some returning bloggers and some new ones as well! We will have a different question everyday so make sure to check it out daily to see what some of your favorites have to say!! If you click on check person's name it will take you directly to the their blog, so you can go check out all the stuff they have!! If you aren't familiar with Blogger Love Week, you can check out the original post here from earlier this year. Day 5 is here, the hardest question of them all..........

 The Beloved
It’s hard, but you must.  List your top five favorite polishes and why you love them.

Katherine-
This is not easy and I’m sure it will change somewhere down the road.

1. China Glaze Atlantis because the color and the holographic glitter are gorgeous together. This polish is jaw dropping.
2. OPI Absolutely Alice because I love the blue and gold glitter together. The blue is such a gorgeous blue.
3. Ozotic 528 due to the fact that the fact that the glitters in this are amazingly beautiful.  All of the colors work so well together.
4. Ozotic 505 because there is no multichrome quite like it. I prefer the teal/purple flash over the blue/purple that Ozotic also offers.
5. OPI La Boheme. I’m not a fan of reds in general but this one is so alluring it pulls me in every time. I love it so much I worry about using it and wasting it.

Meredith-
These are in no particular order: China Glaze Up All Night, Sally Hansen CSM in Parrot and Cerise, Butter London Slapper, and Color Club Edie.  All of these have fabulous formulas and they all make me happy!

Tara-
Argh!!! OK, in no particular order:
  1. RBL - Locavore: awesome glitter that is blingy yet understated. Has my favourite shades in it (especially purple!). Just pure awesome.
  2. Pretty & Polished - Candy Coated: This is so complex and beautiful! Application is ridiculously easy. The finish is so smooth. I could not stop staring at my nails!
  3. Dandy Nails - Bathed in Light: oh, wow. This is just freaking AMAZING. It really does live up to it's name with the feminine pink/grey duochrome infused with scattered holographic glitter.
  4. Chick - Moss: A great shade that I think can be appropriate year-round. Also, the shade is universally flattering. AND, the formula is hands down one of the best I have ever tried. One-coaters, and they are like BUTTAH.
  5. Models Own - Indian Ocean: just, wow. I know this one may not be for everyone, but it is so freaking awesome how it changes and really does remind me of the ocean. Until I moved to CO, I have always been near the beach, and I love the sun on water.
I need to just move on from this because I am writing this downstairs, and those are the first that easily came to mind...if I go upstairs and look through my stash, I will not get this sent to you in time!

Marisa-
Nory, you are so wrong for asking this question.  You know this is next to impossible!!  But if I must choose, in no particular order, I would say: Kleancolor Holo Chrome, Revlon Whimsical, Fierce Frankens Dream A Little Dream of Me... (No, I didn't choose it just because it's Nory's), Essie Pure Pearlfection, and Ozotic 534.  I just have to say, I feel like I'm cheating on my other polishes.  Just sayin'. LOL!!!

Amanda-

OPI DS Extravagance: One of the most gorgeous holos, the magenta color is just sets the tone for this diamond dusted polish.
Essie First Dance: My ultimate, perfect red, this is the polish I've already chosen to wear to my wedding.
Zoya Sarah: Did I mention I like red polish?  Because I do.  This one glows from within and just makes me happy thinking about wearing it.
Nicole by OPI Nothing Kim-pares to Blue:  I would judge me too for choosing a Kardashian Kolor, but the flakie shimmer and sky blue tone on this makes me feel almost princess-like.
Revlon Royal Cloak: There is no purple I know of that compares to this shade; offset by flakies, I swoon over this polish.
Chelsea-
This is an evil question, Nory! But I typically say my favorite polish is Chanel Peridot. It’s my first (and still only) Chanel polish and although just about every brand has a dupe of it out there now, when it originally came out there was nothing else like it. It’s got the most beautiful duochrome and I could watch it change colors all day! The rest of the top five shift and change pretty frequently, but if I had to pick right now, in no particular order I’d go with:

Deborah Lippmann Mermaid’s Dream – There’s something so ethereal about this polish. I love how perfectly all the different sizes and colors of glitter come together.

a-England Dragon – It’s a rich green linear holo. ‘Nuff said.

Max Factor Fantasy Fire – This is a Clarins 230 dupe and it’s utterly gorgeous. The color shifting pigment in it is INSANE and has to be seen in person to be truly appreciated. It’s about a dozen different polishes in one since it completely transforms in different lighting environments.

Essie Shine of the Times – Shine of the Times is a very versatile polish and looks great layered over just about anything. But pair this over Essie Aruba Blue and you have instant manicure perfection.  If you want to hear something really dorky about me, I mentally call this my Argonian mani because for some reason, it reminds me of their skin. If you get this reference then congrats, you’re a huge nerd like me! If you don’t, then also congrats, you’re a socially well-adjusted individual!

ChiChi-
OPI Pink Friday - The perfect pink.
Sinful Colors Ciao Bella - A beautiful dark blue with flecks that in the right light seem to shift to purple.
For Audrey - my very first China Glaze I owned.
OPI Teenage Dream - my very first OPI that a friend bought for me.
Sinful Colors Cream Pink - a beautiful pink with gold shimmer.

1. Borghese Almondine ~ I love it because it is the best nude EVER and it looks great with my skin tone
2. Lynnerella Connect the Dots ~ I love it because it was my first polish obsession and I like how it looks over so many different colors and before a lot similar ones came out it was very unique, unlike anything else I had ever seen at the store.
3. Pretty & Polished Jawbreaker ~ I love a good white polish and throw in some glitter, that makes a perfect combination
4. Nail-Venturous Floam ~ It is a fun unique polish and it looks super awesome
5. butter LONDON  Disco Biscuit ~ It is simply stunning and I love how squishy it looks

Amy-
Below are five of my favorite polishes! I love purple, glitter, white jellys, and holo polishes.

1. Pretty and Polished Jawbreaker

2. Lynnderella Nosegay

3. China Glaze IDK or Color Club Fashion Addict

4. KBShimmer Shipwreck

5. Color Club Revvvolution

Brandi-
NORY! I can't believe you're making me do this. Ok I'm going to put something together for the sake of this question, but it really is impossible. Just why.. Ok--
1. Clarins 230. If my house was on fire.. I would grab this before anything (ok maybe not before my dogs). It was a gift (and a very expensive one at that) and has sentimental value. Not to mention it's STUNNING.
2. Essie Tart Deco. This one's sentimental as well. It was my first Essie and my first blog post topic. This post was HORRIBLE by the way. Thank goodness I've grown and evolved as a nail blogger since then!
3. Pretty & Polished Jawbreaker. Self explanatory
4. Chanel Peridot. This was sent to me by a reader and I thought that was so sweet. Beautiful color as well!
5. Dandy Nails Colorblind. I'm in desperate need of a back-up.. I put this simple but lovely white and black glitter over EVERYTHING.

I can't believe I just did that.

I know, I know I am evil for asking this but I think it is a good question just to see where everyone is at, this could drastically change in 6 months so it's good to have a record of this time and your preferences.

My faves are:
-butter LONDON- Black Knight
-Nail Venturous Lacquers- Flying Blue Jay
-Deborah Lippmann- Across the Universe
-Hits- Zeus
-OPI- I Lily Love You

That was hard, and I keep changing my mind so this is what I think at the moment is the most accurate, gulp.
Anna-
My top 5 choices:
Ulta Grin and Berry It: purr-fect wine color. It’s one of my go-to’s.
Jessica Mint Mojito Green: the perfect green! No doubt about it.
Color Club Sky High: I just LOVE the way the blue glows. Plus, it’s a duochrome. Awesome-sauce!
Models Own Pinky Brown: the duochrome in this is just gorgeous!
Wet n Wild Candy-licious: I love me some pinks. Candy-licious is the perfect crème-y pink!
These might change over time but these are my loves as of right now.

Anne-
My top 5 polishes are :  Eeeeee, this is so hard, but here we go: Orly Fowl Play because I am such a sucker for flakies!  Revlon Whimsical because it is just so airy and beautiful!  Essie Secret Story because jelly is my favorite kind of polish and this is the perfect pink for me.  Rimmel Night Before beacuse it reminds me of Max Factor Fantasy Fire and it is one of my hugest lemmings!  And last but not least is Butter London The Dark Knight because it was my first Butter London, and again, I'm a sucker for glitter, and in a black base......be still my heart!

What are your top 5 polishes??
xoxo
Nory

  1. Oh wow, I have never done these kinds of posts because I never have a clue what I'd pick! I just had a look at my spreadsheet (not the stash, hello distraction) and my top 5 right now (and only right now!) are:

    China Glaze - Outta Bounds.
