Hello!!
Well today I have a mani to share with all of you that took me 2.5 hours to complete. I have never had a mani take this long EVER.
I fell in love with Sammy, The Nailasaurus' Honeycomb Madness Mani. When I saw it I almost fell off my chair I loved this so much. When Born Pretty Store contacted me a few weeks ago to review some of their products I knew exactly what to I wanted, the hexagonal glitters to create this amazingly tedious yet beautiful mani!
I started with two coats of Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics Rx, a royal blue jelly that applied like a dream. This is actually the first time I tried any of their polishes and I loved the formula on this one, and want to try some more in the near future.
These are the glitters that Born Pretty Store sent me for review, you can check them out HERE. This is a set of 12 different colored pots, 1.5 mm in size. I love all these colors and can see myself using these for all kinds of nail art manis in the future. This set is sold at Born Pretty Store for $6.45.
The process was not hard but you have to concentrate and need to have time to do this, like I mentioned in the beginning of the post it took me 2.5 hours to complete this mani, but at the end of it all, I was happy and had a smile on my face. The only negative thing that happened was that on my middle finger where I did the entire honeycomb my top coat bubbled, you can't tell in real life but in pictures you can see the itty bitty bubbles. I have to find a way for this not to happen to me again next time I try this mani, but I think it may just have been that my top coat freaked out for some reason. On the rest of my nails I went with a rim with the glitters, and I really loved how that turned out.
These glitters are great, I have no complaints on the quality. I was so surprised at how much glitter is in these pots!! I used a ton of it and spilled a ton, and had a ton on my face and hair but it doesn't even look like I made a dent in the little pot. I totally recommend picking these up!
If you want to pick these up you can use my discount code, at Born Pretty Store to order these. My code is: HGL91, that code will give you 10% off when you check out!
What do you think of my mani? Would you give this a go?
xoxo
