Illamasqua Rubber Brights: Serenity and Nurture

Wednesday is here! Half way to the weekend YAY!

Well I had not heard too much about this collection, actually I had to search for info about them. I ended up seeing a few swatches and really wanted to know more about this collection and well, here they are. I did my weekly walk through Sephora with Mel and BAM! new Illamasqua display, and I was happy to see it was the entire Rubber Bright for 2012 Collection.

This is an exclusive Sephora collection. You can check them out here on their site, this is a limited edition six shade collection. The ones I picked up were Nurture and Serenity.

Nurture, is a candy apple green. Serenity, is a bright aqua blue.

They aren't 100% matte they have a sheen which really does look like a rubber finish.

The formula was a bit funky, so apply even strokes, let each coat dry well, then apply the other ones. This is a total of 3 coats. Of course no top coat because if not it'll be shiny, like any other polish. The drying time was quite long, so for a mani like this please have time. Def not a polish to go right to bed after applying.

Overall I really loved this and like the finish.

Check out your local Sephora and Sephora.com for this collection.

Do you like this type of finish??

  1. I love the illamasqua finish. so unique! I Really like the 2 of these together but I doubt I would wear them on their own. They'd need an accent nail

  4. I love that rubber finish but I'm so OCD that I don't think I could go without a topcoat (I know, nuts, right?). That blue, however, is just amazing . It reminds me so much of you!
