My Picks: MAC Hey Sailor! Collection

Hope you're all having a good Friday! As many of you know the new MAC summer collection came out earlier this month called Hey Sailor! Everybody has been going crazy for the collection. I'm very happy that I got three pieces from the entire collection, they have a little bit of everything for everybody.

For this new collection all of the packaging is in a special nautical theme, it's a navy and white striped pattern and the products themselves have a navy blue color as the plastic color.

The blush I choose was Fleet Fast. The blush is a muted coral leaning towards a red, so it really suits fair skin as well as darker skin and it's very pigmented, blends well.

The highlighting powder is called Crew, was something that threw everybody a for loop in the beginning everybody thought it was a highlight powder but when everyone started seeing different reviews especially Temptalia's you can clearly see in her pictures, that it actually was not an overspray of the colors instead of the beige. Which was a nice surprise but it definitely is not a highlighter. What I like about this 'highlighter', as they call it is that it has a little bit of a purple undertone with the pink which makes it more of a lavender pink. I think that of the whole collection this is the most unique product out there and I know that this is the most popular products from the collection as well, so you're really interested in it you might want to pick it up as soon as possible.

Swatch with out anything on the skin. It has a lightness to it but I will be using this as a subtle blush. Which I don't mind at all since it's so beautiful. Just the perfect flush of color.

The lipglass is gorgeous! This is Send Me Sailing, it is very pigmented and rich. It applies nicely and it did not need a lot of product to give me the true red color, I really like this over a red balm, you can also use it over red lipstick.



Products can still be found at Maccosmetics.com and Nordstroms.com. I have also heard that they can be found at your local department store counters like at Macy's and Dillards. Please keep in mind that this is a limited edition collection and it will be gone pretty soon. If these are items that you're interested in and I suggest you pick them up as soon as possible, I wouldn't want you to be without them.

Overall I really like the collection and am very happy with these three pieces. They have like I mentioned before a little bit of everything for everyone. So what do you think about the Hey Sailor! Collection? Will you be picking up any of these products?
