Great Inexpensive Bronzers and "How To" Video!

Posted in , , , , , ,

Hello!
Today I have a little informational review/suggestions for inexpensive bronzing/contouring powders. Not everyone likes to use contouring powders but I think it is always great to have one on hand.

First off I have e.l.f.'s Blush and Bronzer duo.  It is from the Studio line. This is a much more inexpensive dupe of NARS Laguna Bronzer and Orgasm Blush. This goes for $3  and can be found at Target and eyeslipsface.com. This is a VERY pigmented bronzer so a gentle hand is needed if you are very fair skinned. I use a very little bit but it works phenomenally, and stays put all day. The bonus is the perfectly matched rosy pink blush, which is also great. The price is unbeatable and I love the packaging.

Second up is Rimmel's Natural Bronzer in Sun Dance. This gives the face a sun kissed glow. It has a tiny bit of shimmer, and I mean tiny. Almost matte, this is not as pigmented as the e.l.f. bronzer and is perfect all year round. It varies in price but for the most part can be found anywhere from $3-$5. I don't really like the packaging because the lid pops out occasionally but overall it is great, especially for light to fair skin tones.

The third and last one I have to share with you is NYC Smooth Skin Bronzing Face Powder in Sunny. This is a matte bronzer, very pigmented and easy to blend. Lasts all day and it is very inexpensive as well, I got this for $3.59 at my local drugstore. I love the compact it comes in because it closes tight and has a nice round mirror to check touch up on the go.

This is all three side by side: NYC, Rimmel and e.l.f.

If you are looking for a great one check these out! There is something for everyone. I have also included a how to contour video just in case you want to see how I contour my face. Let me know what you think and if you have any other tips and tricks you want to share with all of us.

  4. Love the Nory fishy face! Great tutorial! Bronzer has always been difficult for me because being so pale, bronzer makes me look dirty. I do like the blush/bronzer duos because those are always less harsh. Otherwise, I try to mix peach and copper blushes for an artificial tan look.
